Coopers

On Sunday it was 100 degrees and I was scheduled to meet up with the Cooper family.  Olivia was due for a nap and Bella was unhappy that daddy wasn’t walking around with us.  Kids will be kids, but they also can’t help but be beautiful :).

Sally and Eric’s Wedding

Saturday, June 4 Sally and Eric got married at a beautiful Methodist church in Crystal Lake.  The wedding was held in the “Chapel in the Woods” with the reception following at a Golf club just a couple blocks up the road.  I brought Josh with as my assistant and the two of us had a blast!  Congratulations guys!

Jesse Rademacher

Josh and I hang out with Jesse every Tuesday.  Last week we decided to do a photo shoot out at this park-like area by his house before dinner and a movie together.  Our goal was to get him some photos to use with his work (he’s an artist and a designer).

Peter Briddell

Pete and I met at Starbucks about two years ago.  He quickly became a favorite customer because he was so kind and easy to talk to – not to mention a good friend to have as a cop and all ;).  His favorite thing to do though, I think to fluster me, was to have me choose what he would drink for the day.  I have one particular memory of him too.  Our store got a new manager.  She was very energetic, but also very emotional.  One day, she took her frustration out on me and that’s when Pete walked in.  I was crying, but he wouldn’t let me escape to the back room, not until he found out who brought me to tears.  I can’t remember exactly what he said to me but it was some form of standing up for me, so I let out an involuntary, wet grin and was able to put my chin back up.

I spent nine months at that store before I transferred to a new one so I didn’t get to see Pete again until we set up his photo shoot.  Personally, I think he has a perfect smile!  Thanks for the fun morning Pete!  It was a blast seeing you again!

Calhoun Grandkids

For memorial day the Calhoun family got together at Mom and Dad’s.  Dad pulled out the kiddy pool for the kids to splash in.  With such a beautiful day and active, smiley kids I think we came up with some keepers :).

Hannah Guge is a good friend of mine.  I happen to think she is quite a beauty, even on a sticky, muggy day 🙂

Erin and Ian’s Wedding

This past weekend, Saturday, May 28, my friend Erin and her Ian got married!  I had the privilege of shooting the big day along side the main photographer, Tony.  Because of him, I discovered that shooting a wedding is much more pleasant as an assistant or with an assistant.

I have always felt drawn to Erin for her radiant smile and easy-going personality.  Her big day was no exception.  Erin and Ian, it was my extreme pleasure to be able to be a part of your big day!

Here’s a sample of the day, start to finish.

Abby Godwin

I took Abby around a few locations at Judson and we came up with these :).  I think she’s a natural beauty for the camera!

Pam and Marc Wedding

The day was beautiful!  If anyone is looking for a beautiful wedding location I think Baker Hotel was excellent :).  Anyway, despite some major technical difficulties we came out with some lovely photos!

Cory & Alyssa Engagement

I just did a photo shoot with Alyssa and Cory this past week.  They will be wed in July and I have the honor of photographing it all :). For this shoot we went to the conservatory at the Como Zoo.

You guys were a blast!  Thanks for your willingness to work around the weather :).
